		Summer Art Camp (Ages 5 to 11) - Weekly Camps (download PDF brochure) Summer is great time for young artist to explore the world of art. Kim Art Studios’ summer art camp gives budding artists the opportunity to experiment with variety of art materials and learn all about the fundamentals of drawing and painting. Camps are Monday to Friday 2:00-5:00pm. Please see brochure for more information.
		PRE-KINDER ART CLASS (Age 3-4 1/2) (available in Irvine and Cerritos) (download PDF brochure) The Pre-Kinder Art Class is an early childhood education class designed for children ages 3 to 4 1/2. The primary goals for this class is to develop visual observation skills of shapes, colors and patterns, strengthen motors skills, and promote imagination through 2-D and 3-D visual constructions (drawings).
		DRAWING & PAINTING I (age 5~7 1/2) Instructors concentrates on teaching students the fundamental concepts of shape and line drawing, composition, perspective, color technique and color theory. Computer Graphic Art projects are also covered in this class.
		DRAWING & PAINTING II (age 8~11 1/2): This class combines the concepts of drawing techniques and advanced theories such as tone, shadow, advanced color theory, 3-D and 2-D observation, and point perspectives.
		COMPUTER GRAPHIC ART (age 8 ~ 18)* (available in Irvine only) Students will explore fundamental com ponents of digital illustration, design, animation, digital painting, image editing and more. Students will create digital artwork with professional digital design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Students will be working on the latest Apple Macintosh Computers and Wacom Drawing Tablets. Computer Graphic projects are incorporated into Drawing & Painting II and Sketching & Painting III classes. *It is also available as a separate course.
		SKETCHING & PAINTING III (age 12 - 18) Sketching & Painting III drawing is an intensive art course of middle to high school aged students. This class teaches students advanced sketching and how to work with a variety of mediums. Students will learn to explore and develop their individual skills while utilizing fundamental drawing techniques and concepts. Students will create digital artwork with professional digital design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Students will be working on the latest Apple Macintosh Computers.
		PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT (High School) (download PDF brochure) For high school students, Kim Art School offers Portfolio Development Class to help students prepare their portfolios for art college admission. They may consult with our advisors on their art portfolios and the admissions process for art college entrance.
		PAINTING \| OIL PAINTING \| WATERCOLORS \| ACRYLIC PAINTING Students learn the methods of oil painting and color mixture. This class is recommended for student who already have a base in sketching. It is available for teens and adults. This class is recommended for students with experience in sketching.
		CARTOON \| ANIME ART This class is designed for students with a special interest in cartooning, comics, and Japanese Manga characters.
